Powering Up! Summer is practically around the corner for us here in the northern hemisphere. Where we not only feel more active with the sun more prominently energizing us and the warmth inviting us to enjoy nature more often and also where lazy days outside can be enjoyed! I truly hope everyone gets to enjoy some amazing mini-vacation, “stay-cations” or full on vacations in the next few months to truly take in the summer season. My family and I are excited to get away from it all next month when we head up to Maine for some peace and quiet, zip lining fun and perhaps kayaking here and there. My sister invited us to her vacation home there and we are so happy and grateful for this blessing! (The six hour drive will be interesting with three kids…lol!)
Summer is all about activating and also balancing our energy. Take rest to rejuvenate and power up on those days your soul calls to you to energize. Synchronistically, the Inspire You article that came to me this month is all about our Solar Plexus, our power center.

Inspire You Article
Each Chakra has a magic all its own within our energy and body; combined together to make for a rainbow variety of different yet complimenting portals of energy. Each vortex of energy used for their own unique goals within our body and together it’s how we operate in the world. Today I’m going to discuss most specifically the Solar Plexus – our Power Center. For more detailed information on each Chakra, you can click here.
When I’m at my most powerful and energized I feel grounded, centered and connected all at the same time. I feel the power within. We ALL have it. During my walks outside, I’ve recently naturally been tapping into my power Chakra. I realized that when I do this I can “power” forward with more ease and feel more energized to go farther. This is the same during my workouts and in yoga.
During one of my recent walks I was listening to Sia’s song “Alive”. Such an amazing song! I’m a fan of those belt-it-outs and sing it loud powerhouse songs (like songs by Martina McBride or Evanescence as well). Singing this song is so amazing. As a singer, you’re trained to sing from your diaphragm aka the Solar Plexus. You don’t deplete your lungs of air or over exert your throat. You pull from your center and have more energy to sing through! Pretty amazing.
Operating from core when you need it makes us more alive and energetic. Our core is our foundation for all movement. So operating from our core makes sense and when powering up the solar plexus this gives our whole being strength. You can take this same technique into your daily life.
In yoga, we are taught to breathe; breathe fully and deeply to really infuse your entire body with prana/oxygen – our life force energy. A yogic breathing technique called Breath of fire taps into our Solar Plexus area as well. This area is activated for a beautiful detox and empowering energy. There’s a reason these techniques have been around for thousands of years.
Tapping into your power center allows for an intense present moment focus; to operate strongest from all Chakras in balance. Doing this and using your breath – your complete focus and being completely alert in the present moment is the most potent way to powerfully create the life you desire and live an empowered fulfilling life as you do it! Fill and infuse your power center with divine white light, begin to feel it energize and fill you up! From here we can heal ourselves and release all that no longer serves us; all that is not of excellent health and well-being.
Wonder Women taps into the first of the Five Tibetans when she transforms into her Wonder Woman self. And you’ll notice that when she is transforming, the explosion of light shines from within first from the center of her being. Yes, it’s a fictional show but shows that we can empower ourselves and truly are as powerful as we believe. Empower your center so you too can charging forward with purposeful centeredness.
We do not need to take power from anyone else (whether it’s on purpose or by accident). There is more than enough within us. As you learn to work with your own power, it grows stronger. We grow more confident and empowered. Be prudent of your energy. Do your best not to give it away to other people and do not allow others to take your energy. It’s up to us how much we give away. Work with setting your boundaries for those people who would take advantage. Be polite, but strong. 🙂
It’s truly a gift you give to yourself when you keep good energetic hygiene. It’s best to energetically clean and clear our Chakras (including your power Chakra) and Aura daily. Call on Archangel Michael to assist you when you reached the yellow solar plexus. Ask ArchAngel Michael to several negative cords and attachments from you and to you now and to also take back ALL power that has been taken from you and bring back to you now. Ask also to release all that you are holding on to as well. Live in your full power as often as possible. It’s also pretty synchronistic that this inspired article comes to me during the month that holds the longest sun-filled day of the year (which also happens to be Summer Solstice with a Full Moon on the very same day). I met my husband on such an auspicious day. 🙂 So there is powerful magic here. I do hope you all find your powerful center and dig deep into your spirit, drive from there and use that energy to your highest benefit and create the life you desire and deserve. It’s all you! 🙂

I am trying to find out if I have magical properties, for when I was about five I saw 5 shadow figures run past my bedroom. I have had dreams to do with animals that have come true. I have been seeing figures out of the corner of my eyes but when I turn to look there gone. I can smell death on animals before they pass away. Also I can feel heat off of injuries on animals and people even if you can’t see the injury. I have seen my mother, who has passed away, standing in front of me. And even my daughters have been staring at the corner of the ceiling. When shown a picture, she said it was Ohmar, which is Dutch for grandmother, and they haven’t ever seen my mum nor at the time know her name (for she had passed away before they were born). My eldest daughter keeps seeing a little boy in her room and he is floating in the corner of the room and she has even had conversations with him. Plus all my daughters have imaginary friends. So do my sisters, but I can’t remember if I did or not.
So please help me to see if I and my daughters are magical people and where I should go from here. Can you help me please?
Thank you for your email. 🙂 To get straight to your question, we all have psychic abilities within us. It’s a part of our natural soul’s ability. When we incarnate, it’s all about re-remembering this and opening up to it in a way we are called to it. When it’s in your family lineage, it can be extra strong. And then it’s about working with the abilities, growing them in balance and learning boundaries with the energy.
As you are seeing, kids tend to have this ability upon incarnation. The further away they get from their birth the abilities tend to “leave” them or rather get repressed due to society’s beliefs as well as the adults in their lives guidance or lack thereof.
Magic is a part of who we are. Living life believing in magic not only makes life more interesting but also allows us to tap into that magical powerful being that we truly are and create all we desire. It’s a magical world and we are magical beings at our very core.
Seeing spirits is a gift in and of itself. It sounds like there are a few abilities you have: Seeing spirits, healing and precognition (at least when it comes to a possible spirits exit from this world into the next). These are wonderful gifts that you can work with to bring balance and not feel lost.
First, meditation will help bring your peace but also clear the clutter from the mind so you can be more present with your gifts as well as life itself.
Second, do the work. The more filters we have in life, the harder it is to discern what we are psychically seeing and sensing. So this means, your beliefs can hinder what you are seeing, as you will interpret it from your sense of being in this very moment. If you are able to do the work within yourself: always live from truth and integrity; forgive others and self for anything needing forgiveness (rather than living in hate or anger); do your best not to repress what you are feeling but allow things to be in the present moment and process them, etc. – these things are a start to have better discernment in life and working with your abilities.
Next, I’ve crafted a free Psychic Awareness Guidelines book that will help you begin. Take a look and see if this resonates with you. Then seek out local or online groups where you can practice your gifts in a safe sacred space. The more you practice the more your gifts will grow and evolve and the more you will trust them to utilize them in your life as best that fits for you. You will be taught proper boundaries from my guidelines book as well as through your practice.
Also, please read the Psychic, Energy and Kundalini sections on my articles page. As you grow spiritual, your Kundalini (being your Divine essence within) will begin its awakening. It already has begun for you, so it will be good to review. I have a few books that I’ve channeled with information that will help you as well. This isn’t just to grow your abilities, as you can guess. But it’s also a dedicate life practice for the evolvement of your Soul. The more you realize the light being that you already are, the more you can spread your wings and fly. We are spiritual being having a human experience after all.

Yoga Pose of the Month
Core Sun Salutation

The Core Sun Salutation, inspired by and during my Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Sadie Nardini, allows us to truly dig deep into our Core. Our core is our foundation for all movement. (Click on the image to the right to see larger in a higher resolution.) It is helpful to keep our core healthy and strong for this very reason. Not to mention the calorie burning capability is heightened tremendously! As you build core strength you are also strengthening your spine, as well as your Solar Plexus Chakra (our Power Center). It all works together. Adding core-toning work in the transitions between poses in the classic Sun Salutation amps up the benefits of all the poses. Try to do 3-5 rounds of Core Sun Salutations on each side or more.
“You’ll also tone areas that yogis often under-use, like the pelvic floor, abdominals and arms — and release places that can take on too much pressure: the lower back, neck and shoulder. As a happy bonus, you’ll experience a higher level of tapas, as you spark the inner fires of transformation. Translation: you’ll sweat buckets, and burn more calories than ever before. ” ~ Sadie Nardini

1. To begin, come to Sukhasana (Easy Seated) pose. Ground, connect and center. Focus on your breath and bring your awareness more fully into the present moment.
2. Next, step back into Phalakasana (Plank) pose.
3. On an exhale, come into Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downdog).
4. Begin Downdog Waves (inhale Plank, exhale to Downdog). Repeat 3-5x. Come to rest in Downdog once again.
5. Inhale, right leg up into Tri Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downdog Splits). Square hips.
6. Exhale, three Core Shakti kicks to the center. Finish third Core Shakti Kick with leg lifted back into Splits.
7. Exhale, step right foot forward in Ardha Hanumanasana (Runners Lunge). You may either: Inhale, stay low in Runners Lunge with back knee lowered to mat raising arms up to sky; or, keeping back knee lifted, inhale, arms up into a Anjaneyasana (Crescent or High Lunge Pose).
8. While in High Lunge begin Fists of Fire (inhale arms up, making fists with your hands, exhale arms down). Repeat 5-10x.
9. Lower hands down to mat and exhale back into Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downdog).
10. Inhale, lower the hips into Phalakasana (Plank) pose.
11. Exhale, Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff pose).
12. Inhale, Bhujangasana (Cobra) or Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (Updog).
13. Exhale, Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downdog).
14. Repeat steps 1-13 on other side (Left Leg rises up into Downdog split, etc.).
15. Inhale, step or jump forward coming up half way with a straight spine into Ardha Uttanasana (Half Standing Forward Bend).
16. Exhale, Lower back down Uttanasana (Forward Fold).
17. Reverse Swan Dive arms up, palms together, bringing them back down to your heart into Tadasana (Mountain Pose) with Anjali Mudra.
