We’re gearing up in the Anderson household! My daughter just joined cheer leading and her first week has five days of practice! We go down to three thereafter and a game every Sunday starting in September. Fun for everyone involved. Every weekend is already full for the rest of the summer. But I will take my rest when and where I can to practice what I preach and enjoy the last bits of summer as much as I can. And that is my wish for all of you. Namaste.

Connecting through Your Heart Chakra
The Heart Chakra (one of our 7 main energy centers in the body) seems like it could be argued that it is the glue that holds all the Chakras together. Though we know they all work together!
Our heart center is our connection to Mother Earth and Father Sky. It is our center. We are all coming back to our heart center (Anahata Chakra means to Love). Love is our true connection to the All. There have been recent scientific studies that show our physical heart is actually made up of an entire nervous system of its own, separate from the rest of the body’s nervous system. Think about that. Our heart center is our connection to Source. As we work with our heart connection our evolution expands.
Remember the Universe is for you and within you. The Universe and the world are connected to you and you to it. Love yourself unconditionally and you will see the world love you. Remember to send love to yourself many times a day or rather ALL the time. Life is blissful. You attract more love into your life because that is what you are seeing in you. And as you treat yourself with unconditional love, others will feel this and treat you the same way. You are the first person who should receive love when you wake up in the morning. When you rejuvenate yourself with this remembrance you can serve humanity in kind.
Something I try to do every day is to look at myself in the mirror and tell myself that I love me. Try it. Look in the mirror and say, “I acknowledge and honor you as a Light Being” and send unconditional love to yourself. It is powerful to do this in the mirror. I feel this will truly assist you in not only liking yourself again but loving yourself. Try it. Do it for longer than a few days. Try it for 21 days or more! You will beam divine love. Others will notice something new in your eyes and in your being, even if they can’t articulate it. Love is the key. Love is who you are at the core of your essence. Love, love, love.
Now take this one step further and honor the Divine Spark of Love in others. When you see another on the street, at work, in your home and at the grocery store really see them. Really smile. Really look into their eyes and connect with the Divine Spark within them. They may not know or understand. They may only feel your pure joy at the connection you’ve just made. But you know you’ve connected with them at the highest level. Send them love whether they feel it or not. Send Love from your heart to their heart. Intend that you connect with their highest soul. Feel the Divine within every living being. You can do this with people and things. I do this with Nature a lot. It is so easy to feel and spread this love while in stillness (our true way of being).
Come Back To Your Heart
You can access the inner realms through your heart. Your heart truly does hold all the answers and all-encompassing peace. Whenever I take even a tiny moment to remember and focus on my heart, peace floods my system. It’s pretty amazing actually. My heart is my soul.
For instance, the Universe had been sending me messages recently to stop looking outside myself for answers. But I don’t always take the hint unless it’s a pretty blunt hint. So I scheduled myself a reading with a highly recommended Trance Channeler. And on three failed attempts I had to wake up and listen. I canceled the reading because I made a deal with the Universe that it would take three times if I were to take action. The Universe complied and I canceled to honor that agreement. I took the message. I need not go outside myself for answers. I still may need to from time to time, since human life can get funky, but the message is clear that the truth resides within me. Always had and always will.

Now, I know that teachings and readings have been very beneficial in my past and will be for many others to receive guidance outside of yourself. This guidance is priceless. I will say it again that I honor all the teachings, books and learning’s in my path that will continue for me throughout my life. We are, after all, in this together. Everyone that I come in contact with is my teacher. Isn’t life amazing! These people help you see the truth within you. Not only that the guidance finally leads you back to yourself to find the truth. So don’t ever stop learning from others but listen to yourself as much for your inner truth. My heart does hold all the answers, as well as peace. Peace can flood your system anytime you take the extra moment to focus on your heart.
Just look within. Think of your heart. Feel your heart center; your energetic heart, not your physical heart. You may even see a pink glowing star there. All the answers you could ever ask are here. The High Heart or Thymus Chakra is just above the green Heart Chakra. It is a sparkling light pink of unconditional loving color. Our High Self communicates to us through our heart. The High Heart Chakra has a golden thread extending from it to Source; our Divine connection. Look within. The Divine within you resides here. As I tap into my heart I feel it in my third eye, my crown and my whole being. I truly feel connected, centered and at peace here no matter what circumstances are going on around me. Unconditional love pours through me as I remember my heart. You can tap into the Divine Source energy here and heal the self as well as those around you. If you experience a painful situation, breathe, place your hand on your heart and look in your heart center. This is powerful.

My mom says that I was born with a special gift and she was right. I don’t know how I do it or why, but I can see and hear spirits and also feel them when they are around. Now with that being said I have some concerns about my mothers house. Before she moved into the house I kind of did a walk through of the house at my moms request and I told what i saw and what I felt. At the time she didn’t believe me. Now she does! She has captured on film and also in video. I don’t feel like the presence is bad, but it is in a sense overwhelming for me. What I want to know is what is a safe way for me to communicate with it without making the coincidences worse. Any advice would be greatly helpful.

Thank you for your email. As you may already know, please do your best not to use a Ouija board. These invite anything to come in, especially if you don’t know of the proper process of protection and guides to call in. You mentioned having gifts, so this type of communication isn’t necessary either way. We are all psychic to some extent and it’s a matter of fine-tuning, meditating and connecting.
Quickly, I wanted to share a few articles I wrote on the subject of ghosts. These may interest you or your Mom regarding Ghosts. Ghosts are defined differently by so many people in the metaphysical world, so I have a few facts on how I’ve defined them thus far.

To answer your question simply is: You are in the power first and foremost. As a physical being of this world, you are empowered with free will to live here first. That means that whatever you say goes and they must comply. Ghosts don’t always know they are deceased and may find it hard to hear at first, but once they do they must leave. First I would hope that you would help them crossover to the Other Side (heaven, etc.). They’ve lost their way and need guidance. Take a moment to ground yourself, center, call in your guides, angels, etc. Whatever is yours to call in for protection. The protection is a way of just keeping your energy yours, which is very light and sustaining. You can even visualize that light within you growing outward as you say three time:
“I invoke the light of the spirit here within.
I am a clear and perfect channel.
I am love. I am light.”
Guiding them Home: Once done, you can simply have a conversation out loud or in your mind with the ghost and/or guides and angels. I like to call on ArchAngel Michael to assist with crossing over guides and you call simply call on those light beings that are appropriate for creating safe passage to the Other Side. Ask the ghost to cross over. I will often create a Rainbow Bridge visually (since I’m very visual or you can “feel” it as you call it in), then ask ArchAngel Michael and the spirits’ guides to assist him/her in crossing over. You may be guided to let the ghost know they are deceased and their loved ones are awaiting their arrival over the bridge. Ask how long this bridge should be open and go with the amount of hours or days your receive. Then ask that it be closed at that time (no need to wait the hours or days that you were guided it stay open; just ask that it close at the timing you received). I like to place the bridge outside the home or property to feel they’re leaving rather than having the bridge in the home open for that amount of time.
If assisting the ghost in crossing over doesn’t work, you may want to explore Smudging/Saging your home (first link above) and telling it that it must leave now. However, this is extreme and not always necessary if the above request to guide them home works. In either case, giving the home a good Smudge with white sage is a great idea at least monthly. White Sage is great for cleaning the air of bacteria as well. So it’s a win win! If you can’t find white sage, you can get regular sage. I’ve found a few great places on amazing selling white sage too. 🙂

Five Tibetan Rites
Other names: Five Tibetans, T5T, The Five Rites of Rejuvenation, Fountain of Youth

The Five Tibetans Rites is an ancient Tibetan practice known as the Fountain of Youth and is reportedly 2,500 years old. (Click on the image to the right to see larger in a higher resolution.)
I practice the Five Tibetans every morning. It just feels so good! The Five Rites emphasize “a continuous sequence of movement” (Sanskrit: Vinyasa).
“The five Tibetans are a unique sequence of yoga poses reputed to be the key to longevity. According to legend, the sequence was created by Tibetan monks in a Himalayan monastery and then brought into the world by British Army Colonel Bradford. The colonel was amazed by the monks’ vitality and superior health. They credited their religious observances, simple diet and the five Tibetans.” ~ Naturalnews.com
“The Five Rites speed up the spinning of the chakras, coordinate their spin so they are in complete harmony, distribute pure prana energy to the endocrine system, and in turn to all organs and processes in the body. This is one of the major requirements for vibrant health, rejuvenation and youthfulness. This program is often described as a modified yoga program. Simply put, yoga is a science that unites the body, mind and spirit. Today this is often called Mind/ Body Healing. The author of the book believes that yoga was brought to Tibet from India in the 11th or 12th century and that Tibetan monks over time developed modified these exercises and developed an effective program of exercises that western society now calls the “Five Tibetan Rites”. The rugged mountainous conditions these monks live in may well account for their particular emphasis on vigor. Many of the yoga exercises and practices being taught in the western world today are very new. The “Five Tibetan Rites” are exactly what the ancient Tibetans developed over many centuries of time. Therefore it’s very important to do the “Five Tibetan Rites” exactly as they are presented without altering the form or sequence to achieve some of the benefits accrued to these “Rites”.”

To receive the fullest benefits of the Five Tibetans, it is recommended that we practice 6 days a week and do 3-21 rounds for each of the 5 Rites. Preferably practiced in the morning prior to breakfast, if not accessible anytime throughout the day will do. Skipping more than one day a week will diminish the benefits.
Do only what you feel comfortable doing. That may be only one of each exercise for the first week. Build up to two of each exercise the second week, three of each exercise the third week, etc. or at a faster pace only if your body does not hurt when you do these exercises.
21 is the maximum of each exercise you should ever do. If you want to enhance your program, do the exercises at a faster pace, but do not do more than 21 of each exercise each day. Doing more than 21 repetitions of each exercise in any day will affect your chakras negatively and can create imbalances in your body.
CAUTION: Spinning and stretching through the following exercises can aggravate certain health conditions such as any type of heart problem, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons’s Disease, severe arthritis of the spine, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a hyperthyroid condition, or vertigo. Problems may also be caused if you are taking drugs that cause dizziness. Please consult your physician prior to beginning these exercises if you have any difficult health issues or if you have any other concerns.
RITE #1 – Spinning
To begin, stand erect with arms outstretched horizontal to the floor, palms facing down. Your arms should be in line with your shoulders. Spin around clockwise until you become slightly dizzy. Gradually increase number of spins from 3 spins to 21 spins.Inhale and exhale deeply as you do the spins.
RITE #2 – Leg Raises
Begin in lying flat on the floor, face up. Fully extend your arms along your sides and place the palms of your hands against the floor, keeping fingers close together. Breathe in, then on your exhale raise your head off the floor tucking your chin into your chest. Neck is relaxed throughout. Simultaneously, feet flexed, lift your legs, knees straight, into a vertical position. Press your lower back into the mat. (If this isn’t feeling accessible, take your palms and place them under your hip bones to allow for better lower back alignment.) Press the navel towards the spine. If possible, extend the legs over the body towards your head. Do your best not let the knees bend. Then, inhale, slowly lower the legs and head to the floor, always keeping the knees straight. Allow the muscles to relax a moment, and repeat.
RITE #3 – Camel
Kneel on the floor with knees hip distance apart and the body erect. Hip bones remain over the knees the entire time. Place your hands on your lower back (hands on the back of pelvis, bases of palms on the tops of buttocks, fingers pointing down) or the backs of your thigh muscles. Have your toes curled under pressing into the toes as you come into this pose. Incline the head and neck forward, tucking your chin in against your chest. We begin this pose by inclining/dropping the head and neck forward, tucking your chin in against your chest and then head comes up chin parallel to floor. Next, inhale, allow the head to flow backward as you open the heart more and more open, shoulder blades pressing against your back ribs. Keep pressing hips forward so that hip bones remain over the knees. Allow the neck to elongate and go slightly backward, arching the spine. As you arch, you will brace your arms and hands against the lower back or thighs for support. If your neck feels strained keep it lifted, chin near sternum. After the arching return your body to an erect position and begin the rite all over again.
RITE #4 – Dandasana to Reverse Table or Reverse Plank
Sit down on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you with your legs together or walking distance apart in Dandasana/Staff pose. Ankles flexed, pressing through the heels. Press hands palms down into the mat beside your hips. Elongate the spine tall as you inhale. Then tuck the chin forward towards the chest. Feet are about walking distance apart. Bend your knees, placing your feet flat on the floor. Heels are at least a foot away from your tailbone. Place hands 4-6 inches behind your hips, palms down, fingers pointing towards your feet. Now, pressing into your hands and feet, inhale and lift your hips up as high as they will go for you today, straightening the arms. Allow your head to drop back without compressing the neck. If this is uncomfortable you can keep the head slightly lifted. Press shoulder blades against your back torso to support the lift of your chest. Pause for a moment, tense every muscle in your body.If you’ve built strength, instead of coming into Reverse Table you can move into Reverse Plank from Dandasana pose. So instead of bending your knees, you will keep your legs straight, point your feet and lift the hips up nice and high, allowing the head to slowly drop back to where it is comfortable. Then allowing the muscles to relax, on an exhale, lower back down into the original Dandasana/Staff pose. Rest before repeating this Rite.
RITE #5 – Updog to Downdog
Lie down with your face down to the floor. You will be supported by the hands palms down against the floor and the toes curled under in the flexed position. Throughout this Rite, the hands and feet should be kept straight. With hands under your shoulders, slide hands back by the lower ribcage. Inhale, press head, neck and chest up to be in Updog position. Arms are perpendicular to the floor, and the spine arched. Elongate the neck with a slight arch upward without compressing the neck. Picture an orange behind the neck so that you don’t squeeze the orange, just a slight elongated arch in the neck. Exhale, bend at the hips, lift hips up, bring the body up into an inverted “V”, Downdog. At the same time, bring the chin forward, slightly tucked against chest. Remember the orange for the front of the neck here as well. Flow back and forth from Updog to Downdog for the number of rounds you are doing for the Five Tibetans today.
